About the Role

Acwa is seeking a Contract Manager - Renewable Projects (Solar/Wind) to join their team in Makkah, with operations spanning Riyadh, Jeddah, and Makkah. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience and involves comprehensive contract management for renewable energy projects.

Role Context and Collaboration

The Contract Manager will work closely with the Project Team, internal Stakeholders, PEOS team, and Assets team to understand business drivers. The role also involves close liaison with the Planning Manager to support actions and mitigations related to project progress. Externally, the Contract Manager will build rapport with the PC’s client, EPC Contractors team and consultants, affiliates, O&M contractor (NOMAC), external consultants, technical experts, and solution providers.

EPC Contract Management Responsibilities

• Establish a list of Contractor’s deliverables under the EPC Contract.
• Proactively expedite the contractor’s awareness and compliance with the contracts.
• Identify shortfalls and promote remedies.
• Manage the process for achieving PAC.
• Monitor and maintain records of the performance guarantees and insurances for which the contractor is responsible.
• Endeavour to ensure the contractors compliance with the insurance obligations.
• Support the Planning/Scheduling Manager in reviewing Monthly Progress Reports and regular meeting Minutes of Meeting (MoM).

Project Commercial and Risk Management

This role aims to minimize the risk of commercial exposure to the Project Company (PC) and, by extension, Acwa and their affiliates, through the following key responsibilities:

1. Administration of the Project Agreements between the PC and the PC’s employer, and all other project agreements.
2. Administration of the EPC Contracts with the PC’s to facilitate the contractors' compliance with their obligations under the contracts.
3. Review of all incoming correspondence from a commercial risk and contractual compliance perspective, advising the Project Team on commercial aspects and drafting appropriate responses.
4. Development of Contract Management processes and procedures specific to the project.
5. Development of Contract Management understanding within the project team and providing Contract Management support to the PC and their affiliates as required.
6. Reviewing and actively contributing to the Risk Registers at both the PC level and the contractors.
7. Attendance at meetings and preparation of MoMs as directed by the Project Director/CEO.
8. Oversight of the PC’s compliance with good practice and obligations under PC governance obligations outside the remit of the Finance Department.
9. Understanding and dissemination of the scope and obligations of the Project Insurances to the PC team and the contractors, and supporting the PC in any insurance claims.

Required Experience

• Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in contract management, particularly within renewable energy projects (solar/wind).

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to projects in Riyadh and Jeddah. The salary for this role will be disclosed during the interview process.
