About the Role

Abdul Latif Jameel United Finance, a closed joint stock company licensed by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), is seeking a Network Engineer Specialist to join its team in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah cities. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in network engineering or related fields. The company specializes in various Shariah-compliant financing solutions for individuals and SMEs, including financial leasing, productive assets financing, consumer products financing, and real estate financing.

Role Overview

The Network Engineer Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive management of the company's network infrastructure. This includes the design, implementation, security, monitoring, and ongoing optimization of all network services. The primary objective is to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security of the network, aligning with business needs and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Gathering business requirements to design and recommend ideal network infrastructure solutions.
• Assessing current networking topologies, technologies, and service providers for capacity planning and connectivity.
• Providing recommendations for network hardware specifications for procurement.
• Supervising the handling and acknowledgment of network equipment upon delivery.
• Evaluating networking projects, services, and service providers.
• Understanding data center facilities and hosting requirements for network components.
• Participating in the installation and configuration of network equipment based on project requirements and best practices.
• Executing installation checklists and conducting acceptance testing for network configurations.
• Providing guidelines and checklists for security and quality assurance.
• Participating in data center and hardware security processes, as well as network access security and performance tuning.
• Contributing to network hardware, performance, and service enhancements.
• Involvement in disaster recovery processes and network administration and monitoring.
• Generating network performance and security reports.
• Documenting all network hardware and service-related information and activities, including updates on changes.
• Coordinating with team members for knowledge sharing and service collaboration.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs.
• Experience with routing and switching technologies.
• Familiarity with network security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS.
• Understanding of data center infrastructure and cloud networking concepts.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (*, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability architectures.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant certifications are preferred (*, CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, AWS/Azure networking).

Work Experience

A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience is required in network engineering or similar roles. This experience should demonstrate a solid understanding of network design, implementation, and management principles.
