About the Role
Universal Motors Agencies is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves managing payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely compensation for employees. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field and offers a salary range of SAR 3,750 - SAR 5,625.
Role Context
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the precise and timely processing of employee compensation. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to manage payroll operations and resolve any discrepancies. It also includes maintaining compliance with labor laws and tax regulations, contributing to the overall financial health and employee satisfaction within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, utilizing payroll software systems and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive employee records, including payroll changes, benefits, and deductions, ensuring all information is current and accessible for audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with the HR department to resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies through effective communication.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by accurately calculating and withholding necessary taxes from employee paychecks.
- Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy of existing processes.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions, ensuring data integrity.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and payroll regulations, participating in training sessions to ensure compliance and adherence to best practices.
- Support the finance team during month-end closing processes by providing accurate payroll data and assisting in financial reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in payroll management or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in payroll software systems.
- Understanding of local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Ability to manage and maintain accurate employee records.

- Strong analytical skills for data analysis and discrepancy identification.
- Effective communication skills for inter-departmental collaboration and inquiry resolution.
