The Role of Porter

Accor is seeking a Porter to join its team in Jeddah. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience. The Porter plays a crucial role in managing the receipt and movement of goods, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive goods from suppliers, verifying them against purchase orders and invoices.
• Confirm quantities and number of items delivered match supporting documentation.
• Inspect goods for any damage, defects, or missing items upon arrival.
• Check expiry dates and report any products that are expired or nearing expiry.
• Record received quantities and complete all necessary goods-receiving forms.
• Safely transport goods to their designated storage areas or departments.
• Submit invoices and related documents to the responsible Finance team member.
• Immediately report any discrepancies, damage, shortages, or documentation issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate as needed with Finance, Purchasing, Stores, and other relevant departments.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to accurately verify goods against documentation.
• Attention to detail for inspecting items and checking expiry dates.
• Understanding and adherence to health and safety procedures.

Work Environment
