Production Manager Frozen

About the Role

Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking a Production Manager - Frozen to lead and optimize all aspects of frozen product manufacturing. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and involves overseeing production processes from mixing to palletizing, ensuring adherence to SADAFCO’s standards and international best practices. The role focuses on achieving production targets in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the approved production strategy to meet factory and business goals.
• Plan all production activities to deliver the factory's production plan within time and budget targets.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks using established problem-solving methodologies with the production team.
• Analyze production performance data, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and communicate findings internally using visual management standards.
• Facilitate and execute appropriate methodologies for continuous improvement, leading Lean activities and auditing the operating system (SOS).
• Ensure strict adherence to company product quality rules by all staff.

People Management

• Recruit and select staff in line with company policies.
• Develop team skills through assessment, training, and feedback, managing performance and identifying progression opportunities for direct reports.
• Lead the production team to foster engagement, high performance, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Manage labor availability and efficient utilization according to the production plan.

Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance

• Ensure safe operating practices by implementing and enforcing Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate correct safety behaviors, review accident and near-miss reports, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Participate in safety and quality audits, document non-conformances, and complete action plans.
• Complete and action risk assessments as per policy and procedures.
• Support a culture that enhances behavioral awareness to reduce incidents.
• Control product quality according to company standards, making necessary adjustments.
• Reject products that do not meet set specifications and implement corrective actions to achieve "first-time-right" production.

Financial Management

• Manage and take ownership of total conversion costs within the production department.
• Focus on standardizing systems and operational activities to optimize costs through continuous improvement principles.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in production management, preferably within the frozen food sector. The role requires a strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
