About the Role

EMAR Saudi for Energy Works is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead power and energy infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and involves managing EPC and turnkey projects from initiation through commissioning. The Project Manager will ensure project delivery within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards, while adhering to Saudi regulations and client requirements.

Project Focus

The successful candidate will manage both Greenfield and Brownfield projects, demonstrating strong technical expertise in Protection & Control Systems, UPS Systems, Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear, and High Voltage (HV) Substations. The role requires a proven track record of delivering projects for major Saudi utilities and industrial clients, with eligibility for approval by National Grid SA (NG).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete lifecycle of power and electrical infrastructure projects from engineering through commissioning and project close-out.
• Manage Greenfield and Brownfield projects involving substations, industrial facilities, utility networks, and critical infrastructure.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with National Grid SA (NG), SEC, Saudi Electricity Code, IEC, IEEE, and client specifications.
• Manage project risks, technical issues, commercial matters, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor project progress using project management tools and prepare executive reports for management and clients.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, vendors, and government authorities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineering, construction, QA/QC, HSE, procurement, and commissioning personnel.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Manage project cost control, variation orders, claims, and contract administration.
• Participate in technical reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and energization activities.
• Ensure successful project commissioning and final acceptance by the client.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in project management within the power and energy infrastructure sector.
• Approval or eligibility for approval by National Grid SA (NG).
• Proven experience managing Brownfield and Greenfield electrical projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in Protection & Control Systems, UPS Systems, Medium Voltage Switchgear, High Voltage Substations, and Testing & Commissioning.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary EPC project teams.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with Saudi standards and client requirements.
