About the Role

Ninja 🥷🏽 is seeking an experienced Inbound Supervisor to lead the receiving operations at its fast-growing grocery distribution center in Makkah, specifically covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves overseeing the flow of goods from supplier arrival through receiving and putaway handover, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan the daily inbound schedule and allocate manpower based on truck arrivals and inbound volume.
  • Supervise unloading, counting, PO receiving in the WMS, and putaway handover processes.
  • Ensure all open receipts are closed on the same day, preventing end-of-shift backlogs.
  • Enforce cold chain, FEFO, expiry, and quality control requirements for ambient, chilled, frozen, and fresh products.
  • Lead, train, and develop the receiving team, monitoring individual productivity and performance.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, and Suppliers to ensure smooth inbound operations.
  • Monitor inbound volumes, productivity, and open receipts regularly.
  • Identify recurring operational issues and support process and system improvements.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence and ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including at least 2 years supervising a receiving/inbound team.
  • Experience in Grocery, FMCG, Retail, or Food Distribution, with a preference for multi-temperature handling.
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including receiving, PO/ASN, and putaway functionalities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid knowledge of Food Safety, Cold Chain, and Expiry Control principles.
  • Proven people management skills and a strong warehouse floor presence.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and during peak seasons.

Work Environment

This role operates within a fast-paced grocery distribution center environment. The Inbound Supervisor will lead a team of Team Leaders and Receiving Officers, ensuring efficient and accurate operations. The position requires adaptability to varying work schedules, including shifts, weekends, and peak seasons, to meet operational demands.
