About Bupa Arabia and the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Registrar Pediatrics to join its team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to delivering high-quality healthcare services to pediatric patients, integrating clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions effectively.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Registrar in Pediatrics will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans. A key objective of this role is to ensure clinical quality and safety while enhancing patient satisfaction. The successful candidate will also be committed to ongoing professional development within the field of pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and accurate diagnoses of pediatric patients, including through telehealth consultations.
  • Collect comprehensive patient histories, covering developmental milestones, medical history, vaccination history, and family history.
  • Perform virtual physical examinations using telehealth technology to assess symptoms and conditions.
  • Analyze and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies relevant to pediatric care.
  • Conduct both scheduled appointment consultations and instant consultations.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs, collaborating with patients and their families to establish treatment goals.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications in accordance with pediatric guidelines.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment through follow-up telehealth consultations and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Uphold clinical quality standards and ensure safe practices, adhering to clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits, reporting and analyzing incidents or adverse events.
  • Foster collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, leading and participating in regular case discussions and coordinating referrals to specialists.

  • Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality clinical care by implementing clinical protocols and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Address any incidents or safety concerns immediately and effectively.

  • Maintain awareness of changes in clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Promote patient safety and enhance patient satisfaction by implementing safety protocols and soliciting feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Address patient concerns and ensure effective communication regarding their care.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Registrar Pediatrics position should possess the following qualifications and experience, typically ranging from 5 to 10 years in a relevant pediatric role:

  • Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training in Pediatrics from an accredited program.
  • Board certification in Pediatrics or equivalent.
  • Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Registrar – Pediatrics.
