WSP is seeking a Roads & Wet Utilities Engineer to join its Supervision team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the construction and delivery of roadworks and wet utilities infrastructure within mixed-use development projects. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

Role Overview

The Roads & Wet Utilities Engineer will be responsible for site supervision, applying strong technical knowledge to infrastructure projects. This position requires previous consultancy experience specifically on infrastructure projects within Jeddah or the Western Region of Saudi Arabia, focusing on roads and wet utilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise the construction of roads, stormwater drainage, potable water, wastewater, and irrigation networks.
• Review contractor submissions, including shop drawings, material approvals, method statements, and work inspections.
• Ensure all works adhere to approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and local authority regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify construction issues, and provide timely technical solutions and recommendations.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, utility authorities, and multidisciplinary supervision teams to facilitate smooth project delivery.
• Verify work progress and assist in the review of contractor payment applications and variation claims.
• Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with approved quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Support the Resident Engineer in resolving technical and contractual matters related to roads and wet utilities works.
• Review as-built drawings and support project close-out activities.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout the construction phase.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in roads and wet utilities engineering.
• Demonstrated strong technical knowledge in the field.
• Proven site supervision expertise.
• Previous consultancy experience on infrastructure projects within Jeddah or the Western Region of Saudi Arabia is required.

This position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and operates within a supervision team environment. The role requires active engagement on construction sites and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure project success.
