About the Role

Magrabi Health is seeking a Safety Technician to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting health, safety, fire prevention, and environmental safety programs across assigned hospitals and centers. The Safety Technician will contribute to maintaining a secure environment for patients, employees, visitors, contractors, and assets.

Role Overview

The Safety Technician is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols. This includes conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and assisting in incident investigations and emergency preparedness. The role is crucial in upholding a safe operational environment within healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections across clinical and non-clinical areas.
• Identify hazards and unsafe practices, and ensure corrective actions are followed through to closure.
• Inspect fire safety equipment, emergency exits, fire doors, and evacuation routes.
• Support fire drills, emergency preparedness, and evacuation activities.
• Monitor Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and safe working practices.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Inspect hazardous material storage and support chemical and waste safety practices.
• Maintain comprehensive records for safety, incidents, inspections, training, and compliance.
• Support employee safety orientation, awareness campaigns, and training initiatives.
• Ensure readiness for regulatory and accreditation inspections.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for the Safety Technician position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in safety roles, preferably within a healthcare or similar environment. The role requires a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within the Magrabi Health network of hospitals and centers. The role involves working across various clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure safety standards are met.
