Spa Manager

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Spa Manager for a full-time, on-site position in Jeddah. This management role involves overseeing spa services and coordinating various operations to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while achieving budgetary goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise spa service employees and coordinate activities across salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception, massage, and locker-room operations.
• Assume the Spa Director's responsibilities during their absence.
• Ensure employees have appropriate supplies, equipment, and uniforms, managing inventory within budget.
• Review budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports for departmental financial management.
• Maintain cleanliness of the spa, related areas, and equipment.
• Manage operations to achieve or exceed budgeted goals, understanding the department's financial impact.

Guest Service Management

• Set a positive example in guest relations and obtain feedback on product quality and service.
• Handle guest problems and complaints effectively.
• Empower employees to deliver excellent service and emphasize guest satisfaction in meetings.
• Continuously work to improve service performance.

People Management and Development

• Solicit employee feedback, address concerns, and clarify expectations.
• Provide feedback on employee service behaviors and participate in progressive discipline and recognition.
• Support new-hire orientation, ongoing training initiatives, and conduct training as appropriate.
• Build collaborative team relationships, celebrate successes, and recognize team contributions.
• Administer policies consistently and complete disciplinary procedures and documentation according to operating procedures.
• Support the Peer Review Process and assist the Spa Director with day-to-day operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in a spa, guest services, or a related professional area.
