The Storage Administrator Role

Avensys Consulting is seeking a Storage Administrator to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a contract position with an initial duration of three months, extendable based on project requirements. The role requires a professional with significant experience in enterprise storage and data center environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Administer SAN/NAS storage and enterprise data center environments.
• Manage storage capacity, performance, and availability.
• Troubleshoot storage-related issues and resolve P1/P2 incidents.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and perform capacity planning.
• Implement and manage infrastructure changes within storage environments.
• Support multi-site data centers and critical production environments.
• Ensure robust backup, disaster recovery, RPO/RTO, and data protection strategies.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Enterprise Storage, Data Center Infrastructure, and Backup environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAN/NAS storage administration.
• Proficient in managing storage capacity, performance, availability, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of SAN, NAS, storage connectivity, and high-availability storage environments.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix, and their integration with enterprise storage platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Veeam, Commvault, ExaGrid, Synology NAS, or similar backup/storage technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Advantageous Qualifications

• Experience within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
• Relevant storage, virtualization, or cloud certifications.
• Experience with enterprise-scale storage migration and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Experience with Azure Storage and Azure Backup.
