About the Storekeeper Role
A Storekeeper is needed to manage warehouse operations for a company in the transportation and storage industry. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Mecca Al-Mukarramah. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.
Core Responsibilities
The Storekeeper will be responsible for the comprehensive management of goods within warehouses and cold storage facilities. This includes overseeing the receiving and distribution processes to ensure efficient operations, accurate inventory records, and timely delivery of products.
Key Duties and Tasks
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming shipments.
- Verify that received shipments match their corresponding packing lists.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving area.
- Prepare and dispatch outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to delivery schedules.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse environment.
- Organize and arrange warehouse stock to optimize space utilization, in collaboration with the supervisor and team leader.
- Classify, label, and store materials in their designated locations.
- Implement and adhere to the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system or other approved inventory rotation methods.
- Inspect materials upon receipt and during storage to identify any damage or defects.
- Report and document any inventory discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory movements.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports detailing inventory levels and any identified discrepancies.
- Participate actively in inventory counts, reviews, and audits.
Safety and Compliance
The Storekeeper is expected to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse environment at all times. This includes strict adherence to all established safety regulations and company policies. Periodic safety checks will be conducted, and any identified hazards or incidents must be reported.
Qualifications and Experience
This role is suitable for individuals with 0 to 1 year of experience in a warehouse or inventory management setting. A foundational understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles is beneficial.
