About the Storekeeper Role at Crown Holdings
Crown Holdings is seeking a dedicated Storekeeper to manage inventory and ensure the efficient flow of goods within its facilities in Jeddah and Makkah Region. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in inventory management, ready to contribute to the operational efficiency of the company.
Core Responsibilities
The Storekeeper will be responsible for the comprehensive management and maintenance of inventory. Key duties include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying them against purchase orders and packing lists, and accurately recording all inventory movements using company systems. The role involves organizing and storing materials to optimize space and accessibility, as well as issuing and distributing materials based on requisitions while maintaining proper documentation.
- Conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling any discrepancies to ensure stock accuracy.
- Monitoring stock levels to identify items needing reordering and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the store area.
- Operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, safely and efficiently if certified.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods as required.
- Reporting any damaged or defective goods and assisting with their disposition.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this role should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar inventory management capacity, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment, is essential. The required experience level is between 2 to 5 years.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer applications, including MS Office.
- Forklift operator certification is considered an advantage.
Essential Skills and Attributes
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, coupled with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to lift heavy objects and perform necessary physical tasks is required. Good communication and interpersonal skills are important for effective collaboration within the team and across departments. The capacity to work both independently and as part of a team is also a key requirement for this position.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Jeddah and Makkah Region. The role involves working within Crown Holdings facilities.
