About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a dedicated Supervisor-Food Services (Dry) to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time role is essential for ensuring optimal service delivery and guest satisfaction within our food services operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, staff performance, and operational efficiency, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and securing doors.
• Inspect storage areas to ensure proper organization, adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles, and cleanliness standards.
• Conduct scheduled inventories and manage the requisition of necessary supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms to ensure seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and overall well-being.
• Submit work orders for maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Support management in various human resources functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching of employees.
• Act as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, safeguard proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Foster positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure adherence to established quality expectations and standards.
• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in food services supervision or a similar operational role. A strong understanding of operational procedures, inventory management, and team leadership is required. The ability to uphold service standards and contribute to a positive guest experience is essential.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Ability to navigate stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
