About the Role

Tech Pipeline is seeking an Associate Frontend Engineer to join its fully remote team. This full-time role, requiring 0-1 years of experience, is based in Makkah (Jeddah, Makkah) and focuses on developing critical interfaces for a major Jeddah-based infrastructure developer. The successful candidate will contribute to resolving data drift and system friction across complex operational environments.

Role Purpose and Focus

This position emphasizes the practical application of frontend development to build robust internal systems. The Associate Frontend Engineer will create and refine tools that manage large-scale construction data, approval chains, and resource routing, addressing existing operational gaps. The focus is on developing reliable business software that minimizes friction for operators and ensures data integrity, rather than building decorative marketing sites or complex animations.

Key Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining internal web interfaces that connect directly to project data sources.
• Tracking specific UI bugs by analyzing browser logs and investigating network requests to identify data failures.
• Updating and refining routing rules within frontend logic to ensure correct movement through approval chains.
• Collaborating with backend engineers to ensure data displayed in the interface matches backend logs precisely.
• Creating clear, simple dashboards to help operations managers identify emerging backlogs in real time.
• Writing technical documentation for every component to support client maintenance post-engagement.
• Rebuilding forms and data entry points to minimize human error and reconciliation issues during reporting cycles.
• Participating in focused code reviews that prioritize functional correctness and readable code.

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with the fundamentals of modern web development, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• A basic understanding of a frontend framework such as React, Vue, or similar component-based systems.
• The ability to explain technical issues clearly to both engineers and non-technical operators.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly concerning data formatting, validation, and display.
• An interest in understanding underlying business processes beyond just the user interface.
• The habit of verifying work against technical requirements and testing for common error states and edge cases.
• Basic knowledge of Git for managing code changes, branches, and pull requests.
• A willingness to learn how to trace data from the user interface back to underlying database logs to diagnose problems.

Preferred Skills and Background

• Previous internship experience or personal projects involving functional web applications with real data.
• Some exposure to how large organizations manage operations, logistics, or project backlogs.
• Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data in a web interface.
• Basic knowledge of CSS frameworks or design systems for maintaining consistency across tools.
