Associate Manager Operations Cost Accounting

About the Role

SC Johnson is seeking an Associate Manager Operations Cost Accounting to join its Global Supply Chain organization. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, and is responsible for the financial management of the manufacturing site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves performance monitoring, budgeting and forecasting, CAPEX management, and supporting cost-saving initiatives, while ensuring adherence to controls and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver budgets and manage the financial performance of the manufacturing site, focusing on production volumes, conversion costs, and achieved cost savings. Prepare actionable reports with timely business commentaries.
• Provide accurate forecast updates for the manufacturing site, aligning with the S&OP process to control and optimize supply chain costs. This includes managing absorption, functional expenses, material and efficiency variances, and identifying future plant performance risks and opportunities.
• Lead the preparation of capital investment proposals, quantify cost and benefit drivers, and conduct Return-on-Investment (ROI) analysis. Guide the organization through senior management sign-off, ensure project execution aligns with approved proposals, and enhance capital project spending tracking systems.
• Support the identification and quantification of cost-saving opportunities through detailed analysis to eliminate waste across the supply chain, with a focus on manufacturing. This includes optimizing equipment productivity (OEE), addressing suboptimal resource allocation, reducing waste, and conducting sourcing and strategy studies. Influence the supply chain team to make decisions that enhance plant financial performance, prepare recommendations, and support implementation.
• Continuously improve the internal controls environment in line with the Sarbanes-Oxley control framework, emphasizing manufacturing and inventory controls. Act as an ambassador for internal controls, ensuring best practices are in operation, and serve as the primary contact for external and internal auditors. Implement process improvements based on global internal audit recommendations while supporting statutory reporting requirements.

Collaboration and Reporting

This role involves strong collaboration with the regional AMET Supply Chain team across multiple locations, the regional Costing team based in Italy, and the regional MENAPT headquarter in Turkey. The position also ensures continuity in financial reporting through close collaboration with SC Johnson’s Shared Services Center team in Cairo, Egypt.
