About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Cashier-Food & Beverage Svcs for a full-time, non-management position at its Makkah hotel location. This role is within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category and is not remote. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Cashiering and Cash Control Responsibilities

• Process payment methods in accordance with established accounting procedures and policies.
• Adhere to property control audit standards and cash-handling procedures, including blind drops.
• Obtain and secure the assigned bank, verify money accuracy, and acquire change for anticipated business levels.
• Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
• Transport the bank to and from the assigned workstation.

Workstation Management and Guest Service

• Set up and organize the cashier workstation, maintain its cleanliness, and ensure all opening supplies and tools are ready and functional.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones using appropriate etiquette, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Enter and locate work information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
• Support team goals and quality standards.

Compliance and Professional Standards

• Follow all company, safety, and security policies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions promptly.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Protect confidential information and company assets.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. It also requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
