Clerk Reservations at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, Makkah

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, a brand within Marriott International, is seeking a Clerk Reservations for a full-time position in Makkah. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of room reservations, ensuring efficient processing and guest satisfaction.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Reservations Clerk serves as a primary point of contact for guests making room reservations. This involves processing requests, changes, and cancellations received through various channels, identifying guest needs, and providing accurate information regarding room types, availability, rates, and hotel policies. The role also contributes to maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
  • Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room types.
  • Verify room type availability and rates, and explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies.
  • Handle and document special requests from guests.
  • Answer inquiries about the property's facilities, services, and room accommodations.
  • Apply sales techniques to maximize hotel revenue.
  • Enter and access data accurately within the reservation system.
  • Indicate special room reservation types (*, complimentary, employee discounts, travel agency inspection rates, wholesale) by entering correct codes and rates.
  • Follow established escalation procedures for guest concerns.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality, and protect company assets and guest privacy.
  • Greet and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate needs, and assist persons with disabilities.
  • Communicate professionally, answer telephones using appropriate protocol, and cultivate positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Perform physical tasks such as moving objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.
  • Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • No related work experience is required for this position.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • No specific license or certification is required.
