Customs Clearance Officer

About the Role

Talent Diamond is seeking a Customs Clearance Officer for a full-time position in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah. This role is with a leading regional logistics and supply chain company and involves ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely clearance of import and export shipments in compliance with Saudi Customs regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements.

Position Summary

The Customs Clearance Officer will manage customs documentation and clearance activities for both import and export shipments. This position requires direct experience with Saudi customs procedures and the Bayan Customs Clearance System. The successful candidate will coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarding teams, transportation, warehouses, and internal operations to resolve customs-related issues and minimize shipment delays.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit customs declarations using the Bayan system.
• Ensure all customs documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations.
• Coordinate with Saudi Customs authorities for clearance, inspections, and approvals.
• Monitor shipment status to ensure timely release of cargo.
• Liaise with freight forwarding, transportation, warehouse, and operations teams.
• Resolve discrepancies, documentation issues, and shipment delays related to customs.
• Ensure adherence to Saudi Customs laws, regulations, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of customs declarations and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary shipment information.
• Organize customs records to support internal and external audits.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification in Customs Clearance, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
• Direct experience with Saudi customs-clearance procedures.
• Proficiency with the Bayan Customs Clearance System.
• Experience coordinating with customs authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Strong understanding of import/export documentation and trade compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Customs regulations and clearance procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
