About Indra Group and the Role

We specialize in safeguarding critical infrastructure through reliable fire detection and integrated security systems. We are seeking a Fire & Security Systems Engineer to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, for a full-time position.

Role Overview

This role involves managing the operation and maintenance activities for fire and security systems within critical infrastructure environments. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring system reliability and supporting the seamless integration of various fire and security technologies to protect people and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform operation and maintenance of Edwards EST3/EST4 fire alarm systems.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to defined schedules.
  • Troubleshoot fire alarm loops, devices, and panel/system-level faults.
  • Maintain and support CCTV (IP-based systems), Access Control (Lenel/ATS), and Intrusion Detection Systems.
  • Monitor and investigate alarms from centralized systems.
  • Ensure proper integration between fire and security systems.
  • Support field teams (ML1) and coordinate with OEM/vendors (ML3).
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and technical reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire and security systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Edwards EST3/EST4 systems is mandatory.
  • Experience with integrated security systems, including CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), particularly in control room environments.

Technical Skills and Attributes

  • Strong understanding of system integration and alarm management.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, RS-485, and fiber optic systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in 24/7 critical operations environments.
  • Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience in railway, metro, or large infrastructure projects is beneficial.
  • Edwards (EST), NFPA, or Lenel certifications are considered an advantage.
