About the Role

Alfalak Electronic Equipment & Supplies Co. is seeking a General Ledger Lead to join their team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and operations within the company.

Role Overview

The General Ledger Lead will be responsible for overseeing compliance with accounting principles and regulations, coordinating financial processes, and ensuring timely and accurate financial closures. The role involves collaboration across departments to maintain robust financial records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise compliance with international and local accounting principles, regulations, and laws to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate on revenue processing, expense management, general ledger maintenance, invoicing, and data entry for accurate and timely financial record closure and consolidation.
• Coordinate business requirements, accounting principles, and reporting standards to streamline financial operations and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Design various reports that reflect robust accounting principles and standards, ensuring accurate income recording and financial integrity.
• Analyze General Ledger data, providing guidance on discrepancies that require further investigation to maintain accurate and reliable financial records.
• Coordinate outstanding matters by liaising with departments and subsidiaries to achieve accurate and timely account reconciliations.
• Coordinate the linkage of all transactions from various products to appropriate accounts, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
• Execute payments, contracts, accruals, bank transactions, and other financial activities in accordance with internal controls, statutory requirements, and international standards.
• Collaborate in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in corporate accounting and the sustainability of systems, processes, and practices, considering global standards, productivity, and cost reduction.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
• Demonstrated understanding of international and local accounting principles and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage and reconcile financial accounts accurately.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities covering operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires collaboration with various internal departments and subsidiaries.
