Guest Service Expert at Marriott International

Marriott International is seeking a Guest Service Expert to join our full-time team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is designed for individuals with 0-1 year of experience who are committed to delivering exceptional and memorable guest experiences within a dynamic hospitality environment.

The Essence of the Role

The Guest Service Expert plays a pivotal role in creating a unique and memorable experience for our guests, extending beyond basic food and beverage service. This position requires proactive engagement and the delivery of a wide range of services to ensure guests thoroughly enjoy their meal, making every interaction and transaction feel like an integral part of their positive visit.

Core Duties and Guest Interaction

  • Setting tables and preparing dining areas for guest service.
  • Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to facilitate timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Interacting directly with guests to take orders, serve food and beverages, and respond to requests.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all work areas and service supplies.
  • Ensuring that all guest transactions are handled efficiently and contribute positively to the overall dining experience.

Operational Standards and Professional Conduct

Success in this position is contingent upon adherence to critical operational standards. This includes fostering a safe workplace, consistently following company policies and procedures, and upholding stringent quality standards. Maintaining a professional uniform, personal appearance, and clear communication is essential in all interactions.

Physical Requirements of the Position

The role of a Guest Service Expert is physically demanding and requires a hands-on approach. Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, including movement over sloping, uneven, or potentially slippery surfaces.
  • Read and visually verify information, particularly when managing menus and orders.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as required.

Proficiency in these physical tasks, alongside other reasonable job duties, is vital for consistently meeting guest expectations and supporting business operations.
