Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves overseeing the cleanliness and quality standards of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests. The position requires 0-1 years of experience, making it suitable for individuals looking to develop their career in hospitality supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities such as the pool after cleaning to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Manage daily room status by running sold room reports, verifying room status, identifying discrepant rooms, prioritizing cleaning, and updating the status of departing guest rooms.
• Support Housekeeping management in daily operations and act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms in coordination with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments to relevant staff.
• Communicate any outstanding issues to the next shift and complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Assist management with various human resources tasks including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure compliance with all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, uphold confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues, fostering positive working relationships and responding appropriately to concerns.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout an entire work shift.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Competence in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems, and visually verifying information in various formats.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a related field.
• Completion of required safety training and certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic hotel environment. The role requires active participation in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
