About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Manager Pricing Intelligence to join their team in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah or Makkah city. This full-time role involves providing profound business insights, optimizing underwriting and business performance, and empowering strategic decision-making through market intelligence, data-driven insights, and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structure datasets and understand underlying concepts.
  • Ensure data governance and consistency of data pipelines and reporting tools.
  • Drive automation and enhancements of reporting tools and underlying data pipelines.
  • Improve data models to enable advanced and scalable analysis.
  • Develop and manage reporting tools across key functional KPIs.
  • Conduct variance analysis (Actual Vs. Expected, annual operating plans delivery forecasts) and identify key performance drivers.
  • Analyze cost and claims development, market inflation trends, and portfolio risk dynamics.
  • Evaluate pricing accuracy through benchmarking and trend analysis.
  • Apply statistical techniques in variance decomposition and sensitivity analysis.
  • Translate actuarial recommendations into business decisions through impact assessments and implementation plans.
  • Assess and challenge pricing strategies across business segments.
  • Evaluate the impact of pricing thresholds and decisions on business growth, profitability, and market standing.
  • Identify optimization and value creation opportunities through business segment, pricing discipline, and underwriting improvements.
  • Support and own pricing frameworks and guidelines.
  • Produce analytical inputs for annual operating plans, forecasts, and strategic plans.
  • Identify structural performance gaps across segments, channels, and locations.
  • Translate data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with sales, strategy & planning, actuarial, and operations teams.
  • Ensure effective embedded controls to detect inappropriate underwriting practices.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and enforced.
  • Monitor procedures through periodic reviews and ensure all underwriting practices are up-to-date and compliant with the latest regulatory updates.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
