Job Description
About the Role
PayNest is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to support the Programme Director on a significant digital banking transformation project in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This contract role involves establishing the programme office from its early stages, as the initiative aims to consolidate the bank's retail, SME, and corporate digital channels onto a unified platform.
Role Context and Focus
As the primary PMO support to the Programme Director, this position focuses on coordinating planning, governance, assurance, and executive reporting across both the client and various delivery partners. It is an independent oversight role, emphasizing the governance of the delivery process and the assurance of outputs from other teams, rather than direct involvement in writing business requirements or platform configuration.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrated programme plan across all involved parties, providing a reliable view of milestones, dependencies, the critical path, and upcoming activities.
- Coordinate the full governance cycle, including monthly Steering Committee meetings, weekly delivery forums, daily stand-ups, and change-control meetings, ensuring timely agendas, papers, decisions, and actions.
- Manage the programme RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) register, challenging stale entries and ensuring clear ownership and current actions for all items.
- Produce the monthly Steering Committee pack and weekly programme updates to an executive-ready written and visual standard.
- Maintain programme dashboards and deliverable trackers, providing early warning of emerging slippage, control concerns, and required decisions.
- Administer programme boards and reporting structures within Jira, maintaining consistent data quality, workflow discipline, and reporting hygiene.
- Coordinate with workstream leads, client stakeholders, and delivery partners to consolidate updates, decisions, and assurance evidence while supporting the Programme Director's evolving priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in PMO leadership or similar roles within large-scale transformation programmes.
Essential Requirements
- Availability to join immediately or with a notice period of no more than 30 days.
- Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia.
- Candidates holding valid residency in the UAE or Saudi Arabia are preferred.
Application Process
Salary for this position will be disclosed during the recruitment process. Interested candidates are invited to apply.
