Quantity Surveyor Engineer

About the Role

Esnad Contracting is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing quantity take-offs, site measurements, interim payment applications, and related commercial documentation for a major infrastructure project.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all executed quantities and payments are accurately measured, documented, and verified. This includes adherence to approved drawings, project specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs based on approved drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Conduct site measurements and verify quantities of completed works.
• Prepare monthly interim payment applications with all required supporting documents.
• Review and evaluate subcontractors’ invoices and payment applications against actual site progress.
• Prepare measurement sheets and quantity breakdowns for consultant review and approval.
• Maintain accurate records of executed, approved, and invoiced quantities.
• Identify and evaluate variations, additional works, omissions, and changes in scope.
• Support the preparation and substantiation of variation orders and commercial claims.
• Reconcile tender quantities, approved BOQ quantities, and actual executed quantities.
• Coordinate with Site, Technical Office, Planning, Cost Control, QA/QC, Procurement, and Contracts teams.
• Monitor quantity and payment status and highlight any discrepancies or commercial risks.
• Prepare regular quantity, progress, and payment reports for project management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage quantity take-offs, site measurements, and payment applications.
• Strong understanding of contractual requirements, BOQs, and project specifications.

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
