About the Role

National Medical Care is seeking a Registrar Emergency Medicine to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room, ensuring high standards of professional performance and adherence to medical ethics and regulations. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide superior quality medical treatment, compassion, and understanding to all patients.
  • Supervise the work of ER Residents.
  • Triage patients for medical care based on illness acuity, in collaboration with Emergency Room Nurses.
  • Conduct full patient assessments, including history taking, physical examination, and routine diagnostic tests.
  • Initiate appropriate medical care and treatment within the scope of clinical privileges.
  • Manage surgical, orthopedic, medical, and pediatric cases in the *, including stabilizing critical cases.
  • Refer patients to relevant specialists for consultation, continuation of care, or admission as needed.
  • Document all procedures in accordance with hospital rules and regulations.
  • Participate in departmental education and training activities.
  • Adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Educate patients and families on their medical needs and care plans, documenting all interactions.
  • Involve patients and families in care planning, respecting their goals and choices.
  • Provide health promotion and teaching tailored to the patient's developmental level, learning needs, language, and culture.

Professional Standards

The Registrar is expected to maintain a high level of professional performance, adhering to professional medical ethics, CBAHI/JCIA standards, hospital medical by-laws, and the laws of the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Head of Medical Emergency Services. The Registrar will supervise ER Residents and liaise with other Emergency Room Physicians, physicians from other medical departments, and staff from Supporting Professional Services.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Emergency Medicine. The ability to handle a diverse range of emergency cases and stabilize critical patients is essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, requiring collaboration with a multidisciplinary team within the Emergency Room and across various hospital departments.
