About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Registrar Internal Medicine to join their team in Jeddah or Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is for a physician in advanced training who will deliver comprehensive adult medical care through virtual platforms. The role integrates clinical expertise with digital health technologies to provide accessible, efficient, and patient-centered care, while supporting continuous professional development under supervision. Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct remote consultations for acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions, delivering high-quality medical care.
  • Utilize telehealth tools, including video, phone, and secure messaging, for patient assessment, diagnosis, and management.
  • Ensure safe prescribing practices and appropriate use of digital monitoring devices.
  • Provide ongoing care for patients with multi-system diseases through structured telemedicine pathways, monitoring treatment adherence and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management, specialist referrals, and lifestyle modifications, adjusting as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
  • Document findings and treatment plans meticulously in patient records.
  • Deliver health education and counseling virtually, empowering patients in self-management and promoting preventive care through digital outreach.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Adhere to all relevant medical regulations, ethical guidelines, and quality assurance standards for both telehealth and in-person practice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telehealth regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and clinical audits to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Regularly review compliance protocols, participate in training sessions, and collaborate with compliance officers to ensure practices meet regulatory standards.
  • Prepare accurate and complete reports for audits and inspections, staying updated on changes in healthcare regulations.

Professional Development and Telehealth Proficiency

  • Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills in internal medicine, in-person care, and telehealth best practices.
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and online courses, staying abreast of advancements in internal medicine and telehealth technology.
  • Maintain proficiency in utilizing the designated telehealth platform, including video conferencing, secure messaging, and electronic health records (EHR) integration.
  • Actively participate in training programs, stay updated on platform enhancements, and collaborate with IT support to troubleshoot technical issues.

Patient Safety and Team Collaboration

  • Maintain compliance with all patient safety standards and ensure patient safety across all clinical interactions, reporting any risks or issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Practice safe medicine, explaining medication possible side effects and proper use.
  • Ensure satisfactory patient consultations through effective communication, empathy, clear explanation of diagnosis and management, and prompt addressing of concerns.
  • Collaborate with consultants, subspecialists, and allied health professionals via digital platforms, facilitating referrals and multidisciplinary case discussions.
  • Share insights and recommendations to support patient-centered care approaches and facilitate communication between team members regarding patient status and needs.
