Senior Cargo Account Executive

About the Role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Senior Cargo Account Executive to join its Cargo Sales team in Jeddah, KSA. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience. The role focuses on managing relationships with freight forwarder accounts to optimize revenue and minimize sales costs for the airline.

Role Responsibilities

The Senior Cargo Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key freight forwarders and shippers. This includes ensuring maximum value from existing agreements and contributing to sales strategy.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with top local and global freight forwarders and shippers for Qatar Airways Cargo.
• Prepare account development plans to achieve short-, medium-, and long-term mutual benefits.
• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of QR Cargo sales strategy to maximize revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sale, and generate diversification.
• Ensure that focus and activities prioritize high-yield sales and profitability maximization.
• Review QR Cargo sales data within the account portfolio to drive revenue and identify tactical revenue opportunities.
• Manage and coordinate projects and initiatives within the area of responsibility.
• Develop tactical sales activities in support of sales opportunities.
• Maintain professional sales standards.
• Provide regular market intelligence and feedback from customers and competitors.
• Represent QR Cargo at trade events, promotions, and sales functions.
• Perform other departmental duties as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in cargo sales or account management. The role requires a consistent approach to dealing with local and multinational accounts to drive revenue and manage costs effectively.
