Role Overview: Senior Solutions Architect

AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to work with Enterprise and Strategic customers in western Saudi Arabia, based in Jeddah. Saudi Arabia is a rapidly growing cloud market, influenced by Vision 2030 and national digital transformation programs across various sectors. This full-time role is central to AWS’s growth strategy in the Kingdom, serving as the primary technical advisor for a portfolio of high-profile enterprise customers. The architect will assist customers in modernizing legacy platforms, adopting AI and cloud-native architectures, and accelerating their digital agendas.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive long-term customer success, satisfaction, and trust through the adoption of AWS services and well-architected solutions, in partnership with Account Managers and Business Development.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for enterprise customers in the Jeddah and western Saudi Arabia region, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing their long-term technology strategy.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and lead deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful cloud deployment, including competitive migration paths from other cloud providers to AWS.
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many enablement sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS (*, Dev Days, Immersion Days, Workshops, and GameDays).
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community; contribute to customer-facing publications such as white papers, blog posts, and reference architectures.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS Service Teams, and Support, gathering product feedback, driving feature requests, and mentoring fellow Solutions Architects in the region.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Solutions Architect

A Senior Solutions Architect in Jeddah focuses on customer impact. Daily activities may include preparing architecture proposals for enterprise customers considering migration to AWS, or joining deep-dive technical sessions to whiteboard microservices architectures and advise on compute, AI/ML, and data services. Collaboration with Account Managers and the wider account team on strategy calls, leading workshops or Immersion Days for developers on topics like Amazon Bedrock, GenAI application patterns, or container modernization with EKS are also part of the role. Time is also spent capturing feedback on product gaps, drafting blog posts, or reviewing teammate architectures. The role involves internal syncs, knowledge-sharing sessions, and event preparation, with a consistent focus on being a trusted technical partner for customer success on AWS.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant technical role.
• Ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
• Broad competence across multiple technology areas including Generative AI, Agentic AI, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, and data analytics.
• Deep expertise in at least 2-3 of the aforementioned technology areas.
• Ability to connect technology solutions with measurable business value for customers.
• Experience engaging with various customer stakeholders, including CxOs, VPs, Directors, Architects, Developers, and Engineers.
