Role Overview: Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS)

Devoteam is seeking an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to join its team in Riyadh. This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for overseeing AWS migration and transformation projects. The architect ensures the quality and correctness of work produced by delivery teams, sets technical direction, and provides support for complex technical challenges. The role involves collaboration with delivery engineers, project managers, client stakeholders, AWS, and third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to AWS best practices and client security and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee cloud migration activities across various projects.
• Track technical progress against project scope, plan, and objectives.
• Review migration assessments, wave plans, and the chosen migration approach for each workload (*, rehost, replatform, refactor).
• Review cutover, rollback, and hypercare plans before each migration wave.
• Confirm technical readiness for go-live phases.
• Monitor technical risks and issues during project execution.
• Agree on mitigation actions with delivery teams.

Technical Oversight and Quality Assurance

• Review and approve solution designs, including High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), architecture diagrams, and technical standards.
• Evaluate project deliverables such as landing zone designs, migration runbooks, test plans, operational handover documents, and as-built documentation for quality, completeness, and compliance.
• Define review checklists, acceptance criteria, and quality gates for technical deliverables.
• Track review findings through to closure.
• Ensure designs adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework across security, reliability, performance, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
• Confirm that security and regulatory controls are incorporated into designs and evidenced in deliverables.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
