About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Loss Prevention to join our team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to ensuring the safety and security of our property, guests, and employees. The role involves proactive measures to prevent loss, respond to incidents, and maintain a secure environment, suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol all areas of the property, ensuring rooms are secure and assisting guests with access as needed.
  • Conduct emergency response drills and daily physical hazard/safety inspections.
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV) and alarm systems, authorizing and documenting access to secured areas.
  • Investigate incidents, conduct interviews, and perform key control audits.
  • Respond to accidents, administer first aid/CPR, or contact emergency medical services (EMS) as required.
  • Gather information, complete accurate reports, and maintain confidentiality of all documents and sensitive information.
  • Defuse disturbances, resolve safety hazard situations, and escort unwelcome persons from the property in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and utilize proper code responses for assistance.
  • Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model and initial point of contact for fair treatment policies.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
  • Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and handle telephone inquiries with appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards across all duties.

Physical Requirements

Candidates for this position must be able to perform the following physical tasks:

  • Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
  • Move at a speed required to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Navigate over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 0-1 years of experience in a related security or loss prevention role. Key qualifications include:

  • Ability to complete safety training and certifications as required.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining professional appearance and conduct.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing written documents accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for guest and employee interactions.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety and security concerns.
  • Awareness that specific local licensing or registration requirements may apply for this position.
