Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana is seeking a dedicated Tailor to join its Housekeeping team in Makkah. This is a full-time position responsible for essential tailoring services within the hotel, ensuring the quality and availability of uniforms and supporting guest needs. The role requires adherence to established hotel policies and procedures.

Role Overview

The Tailor plays a crucial role in maintaining the professional appearance of hotel staff and assisting guests with basic alteration requests. This position involves executing daily tailoring duties as directed by superiors, contributing to the smooth operation of the Housekeeping department. The individual will manage sewing supplies and ensure the tailoring area is well-organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, make, or alter uniforms for new employees as required.
• Perform basic alterations requested by hotel guests.
• Inform the linen room supervisor regarding the replenishment of sewing supplies.
• Repair and maintain uniforms for all hotel employees.
• Maintain a detailed record of daily work activities.
• Convert discarded linen into usable items for re-circulation within the hotel.
• Organize and conduct inventory of all fabric materials.
• Ensure the tailoring area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Undertake additional duties and tasks as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in tailoring or a similar field. The role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, capable of following instructions accurately, and committed to delivering quality workmanship. A foundational understanding of tailoring techniques and fabric handling is essential.
