The Role of Windows Team Lead

Excis Compliance is seeking an experienced Windows Team Lead to provide technical leadership and operational oversight for enterprise Windows Server infrastructure and related services. This contract position is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role serves as a senior escalation point for complex incidents, infrastructure changes, security remediation, and technical guidance for Windows engineers. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the administration, availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Establish Windows administration standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to L1/L2 Windows engineers.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex and critical infrastructure issues.
• Lead support and troubleshooting for enterprise Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP environments.
• Provide technical leadership for VMware and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, including Windows integration.
• Lead PowerShell scripting and automation for administration, monitoring, reporting, and remediation.
• Provide Windows infrastructure support for enterprise applications such as Exchange, Citrix, and SCCM.
• Oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions, including recovery planning and testing.
• Lead Windows Server patch management and security vulnerability remediation.
• Lead the resolution of P1/P2 incidents and complex technical escalations.
• Oversee monitoring, performance analysis, capacity management, and alerting for Windows infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate architecture, configuration, troubleshooting, operational, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation.
• Participate in shift-based support, scheduled maintenance, and after-hours activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Proficiency with VMware/VCF, PowerShell, enterprise applications, backup and disaster recovery, patch management, and infrastructure security.
• Experience leading Windows infrastructure or systems administration teams.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise or 24/7 production environments.
• Experience with VMware/VCF infrastructure and security vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Azure, ITIL, CompTIA, security, or cloud certifications are preferred.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a dynamic IT support environment, providing critical infrastructure oversight and technical leadership. The position requires participation in shift-based support and after-hours activities to ensure continuous operational stability.
