About the Role

Saqr Consulting Partners is seeking a Sales Supervisor FMCG to join their team in Najran, Najran, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and offers a salary of SAR 8,000 - SAR 10,000, which includes accommodation and travel. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure all cash van salesmen and down-market pre-sellers conduct sales and collections exclusively with BCO registered customers within their respective Journey Plans (JP), utilizing Handheld Computers (HHC) for all transactions.

Sales and Operational Management

  • Ensure 100% compliance of all salesmen with their Journey Plan every day.
  • Verify that sales and collections are conducted only with customers listed in the Journey Plan (JP) and processed exclusively using HHC.
  • Validate sales and collection invoices in the market that are flagged as "suspicious" in sales reports.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliation (snap checks) for each salesman, covering physical stocks versus system stocks, collection versus deposit, and validating at least 10 credit invoices per salesman.
  • Validate all required documents and create accounts for new customers if they align with the company’s Route to Market (RTM) strategy.
  • Ensure the closure or inactivation of accounts for customers who are no longer in business.
  • Coach new salesmen and conduct monthly refresher sessions with existing salesmen on agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Perform random validation of sales and collection invoices using the Supervisor TAB.
  • Confirm statements of account with 10 customers every week and report findings to the channel manager.
  • Escalate any violation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to the line manager within 24 hours.

Customer Engagement and Relationship Development

  • Develop and implement a customer contact plan to communicate product launches and engage potential customers in relevant sales campaigns.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer queries and complaints, resolving them or referring complex issues as appropriate.
  • Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting, using standard materials for presentations and asking relevant questions to identify customer interest and needs.
  • Develop a personal network within the sales territory and represent the organization at trade shows to identify sales opportunities.
  • Identify products or services that best meet customer needs, propose quantities and configurations, and invite purchases at standard price/terms.
  • Develop strong relationships with all assigned customers and collaborate internally as the customer champion in cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor team members' use of the CRM system, identifying and resolving standard issues, and escalating to a senior manager as appropriate.

Team Leadership and Compliance Oversight

  • Maintain and renew deep knowledge of the organization's policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory codes, ensuring personal and team adherence to required standards.
  • Identify patterns of noncompliance within the team, taking appropriate action to report and resolve issues, and escalating as necessary.
  • Develop and propose personal performance objectives, and manage and report on team performance, setting objectives for direct reports and holding them accountable.
  • Carry out specified audit activities and draft reports of findings, including recommended corrective actions, for review.
  • Work within standard compliance systems and report simple noncompliance issues.
  • Ensure all team members understand their role and comply with company policies.
  • Check receivables collections and deposits of the full amount as per company policies.

Asset Management and Policy Enforcement

  • Continuously monitor systems for salesmen accounts, including SAP, BI, SFA, and Vxceed GPS Tracker.
  • Track and maintain company assets such as vehicles, Handheld devices, computers, printers, freezers, and chillers.
  • Drive a zero-tolerance policy regarding reporting cases related to robbery, accidents, and misuse of company funds and assets.
  • Develop capabilities through assessment, development planning, formal/informal training, and coaching, and maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices.

Required Experience and Behavioral Competencies

Candidates for this role must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a sales supervision capacity within the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following behavioral competencies:
