About the Accounting Manager Role

Seqa Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of its subsidiary in Southern Sudair, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with regulatory requirements within the robotics warehouse automation business. The Accounting Manager will lead the subsidiary's finance team, implement group financial policies, and provide essential financial insights to support growth and profitability, collaborating closely with the Group Finance team.

Key Responsibilities in Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements for the subsidiary, ensuring compliance with IFRS and relevant local regulations.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
  • Review general ledger balances, reconciliations, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide financial reports and analysis to the Group Finance team, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.

Budgeting, Internal Controls, and Compliance

  • Work on budgeting and forecasting processes for the subsidiary with the Group Financial Planning and Analysis department, establishing financial targets with department heads.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the subsidiary's assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with group financial policies, procedures, and accounting standards, collaborating with internal and external auditors.
  • Handle the preparation and submission of Zakat and VAT returns in compliance with local tax regulations, ensuring timely payments and accurate calculations.

Strategic Financial Management and Team Leadership

  • Analyze manufacturing and production costs, including robotics components and automation hardware, to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making on capital expenditures and investments in automation equipment, R&D, and warehouse infrastructure.
  • Monitor working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels of spare parts and finished robotic units, to optimize cash flow.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team within the subsidiary, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Identify financial risks, including those related to raw material costs, technology investment, and project delivery, developing strategies to mitigate them.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Prior experience in the robotics, automation, industrial equipment, or advanced manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
  • Experience with warehouse automation, material handling systems, or technology/engineering-driven manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Experience within a group or multinational environment is preferred.
