AI Engineer (Saudi National)

About the Role

Astek Middle East is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our client's team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on contributing to data-intensive engineering and AI-driven initiatives, with a primary emphasis on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines. The position involves supporting data processing and storage platforms, as well as ensuring data quality and governance across both batch and streaming environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for data processing and integration.
• Develop data processing solutions using Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.
• Work with data lakes and data warehouses to support scalable data storage and processing.
• Implement and maintain streaming data solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability.
• Implement data quality checks and contribute to data governance standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support data platform requirements.
• Document pipelines, processing workflows, and technical standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must be Saudi Nationals.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in AI engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and Kafka.
• Demonstrated experience with ETL/ELT processes.
• Proficiency in working with data lakes and data warehouses.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working with a client focused on advanced data and AI initiatives.
