Job Description
About the Role
Tamara is seeking an AML Officer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations by integrating them into daily operations. The AML Officer will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting company units through compliance testing to ensure adherence to legal and organizational frameworks. This position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply regulatory rules and guidelines to business practices.
- Conduct second-line verification of merchant KYC before onboarding approval and maintain records for reporting.
- Perform periodic sampling to ensure consumer KYC compliance and report any deficiencies.
- Assign appropriate MCC codes and AML risk levels to merchants based on jurisdiction, products, channels, and legal structure.
- Monitor transactions and ensure AML/fraud scenarios are current and effectively implemented.
- Inspect company divisions/units through compliance testing to verify adherence to regulations.
- Prepare reports on findings and observations, escalating instances of non-compliance.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to develop action plans for resolving breaches and preventing future violations.
- Review marketing and promotional materials, providing feedback to the Director of Compliance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain an organized and efficient compliance program.
- Proficiency in ensuring timely action and effective communication across organizational levels.
