About the Role

Exquitech Group is seeking an Application Operations Lead to manage and optimize critical application operations. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, and involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and availability of applications that support the organization's functions. The role requires a proactive approach to application health, performance, and operational efficiency.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the daily design and operations of critical applications. This includes conducting regular health checks, participating in change management reviews, performing post-change application verifications, and identifying opportunities for automation to enhance operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple organizational applications to ensure scalable, reliable, and available systems.
• Design and develop application operations strategies, interacting effectively with application owners and users.
• Design monitoring solutions for in-scope applications and understand the application of IAM, PAM, and Cyber rules.
• Provide technical support and feedback to application and development teams.
• Conduct analysis to identify trends in application use and develop availability dashboards.
• Supply application uptime statistics for monthly SLA metric reporting.
• Champion the creation of proper documentation for application deployment, cold start procedures, and critical services.
• Monitor application usage for adoption and improvement, and build relationships with internal customers.
• Develop and maintain technology service, technical standards, and process documents related to Application services.
• Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of action items affecting reliability and downtime of IT/OT services.
• Develop and plan maintenance activities for applications.
• Contribute to the Knowledge System and share knowledge within the first-line support team.
• Manage ongoing technology delivery to service level agreements from projects to application and business owners.
• Recommend cost savings and efficiencies, and proactively pursue learning and certifications.
• Champion process automation, including scripting and using tools like Ansible.
• Develop and enhance system usage efficiency, maintaining software and system updates.
• Assist with patch planning, deployment, and system restarts as required.
• Learn from outages to improve processes and application uptime.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in application operations or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and its use in delivering applications to end customers.
• Ability to write code in PowerShell, Visual Basic, JavaScript, Python, C#, HTML, HTML5, or ASP.
