About the Opportunity

Astek is seeking an experienced Application Support Officer Core Banking to join our client's team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of dedicated experience and focuses on providing hands-on L1/L2 support for critical Core Banking Systems, specifically TCS BaNCS, and its integrated applications.

Role Overview

The Application Support Officer will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and stable operation of banking services. This involves vigilant monitoring of daily processing, prompt troubleshooting of production issues under strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and effective coordination with technical teams to implement necessary fixes. The primary objective is to maintain secure and uninterrupted service delivery for all core banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for TCS BaNCS Core Banking and its integrated applications.
• Monitor and support End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) processes to ensure successful daily operations.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, errors, and performance issues within the production environment.
• Coordinate with TCS and internal teams for defect fixes, hotfixes, and patches.
• Perform system health checks, log monitoring, and database validations.
• Support change requests, release deployments, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles.
• Maintain technical documentation for incidents, fixes, and standard operating procedures.
• Support General Ledger (GL) postings, reconciliations, and Core Banking System (CBS) transaction flows.
• Ensure compliance with IT security and audit requirements.
• Support the availability and stability of Core Banking and integrated applications.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in application support, specifically within Core Banking Systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in providing L1/L2 support for TCS BaNCS and its integrated banking applications.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, manage incidents, and coordinate effectively with technical teams.
