About the Role

Monks Middle East is seeking a Freelance Senior Art Director to join its creative and content team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves designing, creating, manipulating, and tailoring graphics, images, sound, animation, video, and text to produce integrated multimedia for social-first content. The Senior Art Director will combine design skills with technical knowledge to develop relevant and fit-for-purpose designs across various multimedia formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and other audiovisual specialists within the social content development team to create content aligned with brand strategy.
• Contribute to shaping the direction of motion graphics within the team, inspiring and working with the AV team to produce high-quality content.
• Assist the team in conceiving creative audiovisual ideas based on communication objectives.
• Actively participate in the development of audiovisual content and post-production, ensuring it is suitable for social feeds.
• Produce high-quality deliverables such as effects, motion graphic guidelines, and innovative techniques for team-wide use.
• Ensure all designs adhere to project objectives and client expectations.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a multimedia designer at a high, international level.
• Advanced understanding of motion graphic design and video editing.
• Experience in color correction and knowledge of audio editing.
• Familiarity with basic shooting level hardware and software.
• 2D and 3D animation skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

Technical Skills and Capabilities

• Ability to interpret client briefs, storyboard, prepare design concepts, produce digital collateral, and create short videos.
• Proficiency in shaping the visual approach for clients.
• Comfortable with basic shooting equipment for live coverage, interviews, social content, and video creation, including both filming and photography.
• Mandatory proficiency in related equipment and software.
