The Role of Assistant Bidding Manager

Mace is seeking an Assistant Bidding Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supporting the bid management process from opportunity qualification through to submission and post-tender activities, contributing to successful project pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day management of bids from opportunity qualification through to submission and post-tender activities.
  • Supporting bid managers on major pursuits.
  • Reviewing tender documentation and developing compliance matrices, response plans, and bid programmes.
  • Leading bid kick-off meetings, workshops, reviews, and governance processes.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and technical, commercial, legal, and operational inputs to ensure timely, compliant bid delivery.
  • Developing, editing, and enhancing bid content, CVs, and project profiles to ensure submissions are compliant, client-focused, and compelling.
  • Managing tender clarifications and coordinating responses to client queries.
  • Managing client tender portals and electronic submission processes, including bid submissions.
  • Ensuring governance reviews, approvals, and sign-offs are completed.
  • Managing the central bid inbox and maintaining an accurate pipeline of opportunities.
  • Maintaining the Mace work winning content hub.
  • Working collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrating a proactive commitment to personal development and continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to the Mace global pursuits network through team meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of bid management experience.
  • Experience managing bids within the Middle East market.
  • Proficiency in using InDesign.
  • APMP certification is beneficial but not essential.
