About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking an Assistant Manager Finance and Procurement Operations Business Partner to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed to support the Marketing function by managing its financial planning, procurement activities, vendor relationships, and operational requirements.

Role Purpose and Stakeholder Engagement

The Assistant Manager acts as the main coordination point between the Marketing department and key corporate functions, including Finance, Procurement, and Legal, as well as external suppliers. The role ensures that budgets, purchase requests, contracts, purchase orders, and payments are managed efficiently and in full compliance with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and management of the Marketing department's annual budget and financial plans, including forecasting spending, monitoring actuals, and preparing regular reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Coordinate procurement requirements for marketing campaigns, events, media services, creative agencies, and other activities, from requisition submission through sourcing, evaluation, contracting, and purchase order issuance.
  • Manage vendor onboarding and registration, maintain accurate records of contracts and payment schedules, monitor vendor performance, and support contract renewals and amendments.
  • Review invoices and supporting documents for alignment with contracts and purchase orders, coordinate approvals, track payments, and resolve discrepancies with Finance, Procurement, and vendors.
  • Act as the primary operational link, advising Marketing stakeholders on relevant financial, procurement, and contracting processes, and facilitating regular budget and procurement review meetings.
  • Ensure all financial and procurement activities comply with organizational policies, delegated authorities, and approval requirements, maintaining complete documentation for audits.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will also meet the following criteria:

  • Proven experience managing budgets, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and vendor relationships.
  • Previous experience supporting a Marketing, Communications, Events, Media, or Sponsorships function is preferred.
  • Professional certification in Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Project Management is considered an advantage.

Operational Excellence and Reporting

The role involves developing and maintaining trackers, dashboards, and operational records for budgets, contracts, purchase orders, and payments. It also requires identifying process gaps, recommending improvements to increase efficiency and compliance, and supporting the development of standardized templates and procedures for Marketing operations. Monitoring key operational indicators, such as procurement turnaround time and budget utilization, is also a core aspect.
