About the Assistant Manager, Fire, Life and Safety Role

Qiddiya | القدية is seeking an Assistant Manager for Fire, Life and Safety to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position involves supporting the Manager in leading and governing fire and life safety functions across Qiddiya’s developments.

Role Context and Strategic Focus

This role places significant emphasis on commercial and procurement activities, which are essential for supporting Qiddiya’s Fire and Life Safety framework agreements. The successful execution of this position is critical for ensuring the smooth and effective work of third-party review consultants across Qiddiya, supporting asset development and land servicing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and issuance of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in coordination with the FLS Manager.
  • Support and lead technical-commercial negotiations with bidders.
  • Manage and track service orders efficiently.
  • Monitor the contractual compliance of consultants.
  • Maintain robust framework agreement governance.
  • Ensure audit compliance with procurement policies.
  • Track all Fire, Life and Safety (FLS) projects and submission timelines.

Core Deliverables

  • Achieve optimum utilization of Qiddiya’s Fire and Life Safety framework.
  • Successfully negotiate agreements at both the framework-level and service order-level.
  • Ensure timely review and approval of framework scopes and invoices.
  • Conduct Fire, Life and Safety procurements in strict accordance with Qiddiya policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Fire Protection, Civil, Mechanical, or a related field), Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in procurement, contracts management, or commercial administration.
  • Demonstrated exposure to Fire and Life Safety (FLS), fire protection engineering, or built environment/construction projects, preferably within large-scale giga-projects or master-planned developments.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, RFP development, framework agreements, and contract governance.
  • Familiarity with fire and life safety codes, standards, and third-party review/consultant processes (*, NFPA, IBC, or relevant local/international fire safety codes).
