About the Opportunity

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an Associate / Associate Director – Bridges & Tunnels to join its expanding Transport & Infrastructure division. This full-time position is available in either Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the design and delivery of major bridge and tunnel projects across the Kingdom, upholding technical excellence and adherence to international standards.

Role Overview

This role involves a strategic contribution to project leadership, client management, and team development. The Associate / Associate Director will be responsible for supporting the growth of WSP's business in the region while ensuring the successful execution of complex infrastructure projects from concept to detailed design stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients in Saudi Arabia, building strong professional relationships.
• Lead business development efforts within the bridges and tunnels market in KSA.
• Support wider business development activities, including the preparation of technical proposals and contributing to strategic planning.
• Provide technical leadership to the design team, ensuring compliance with local and international codes and standards.
• Lead the design management and technical delivery of complex bridge and tunnel infrastructure projects.
• Oversee project planning, resourcing, budgeting, and quality control across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical, highway, railway, and MEP specialists.
• Represent the consultancy in industry forums and client meetings, promoting technical excellence and thought leadership.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Leadership and Strategic Contribution

The individual in this role will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and driving growth for the bridges and tunnels sector within WSP in Saudi Arabia. This includes fostering client relationships and providing strategic input to expand the company's footprint in the region's transport and infrastructure market.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and delivery of bridge and tunnel projects.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within a consulting environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, teams, and client relationships.
• Strong understanding of relevant local and international engineering codes and standards.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, with the flexibility to be located in either Riyadh or Jeddah. The role involves working within a dynamic and multidisciplinary team focused on delivering significant infrastructure projects across the Kingdom.
