About Mace and the Role

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to enhance project outcomes and redefine ambition. We are seeking an Associate / Lead Cost Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position where the successful candidate will apply their expertise in cost management to significant projects, aligning with Mace's values of safety, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunity.

The Project Context

This role is dedicated to a large multipurpose venue located in the heart of Riyadh. The project is designed for long-term use as a versatile hub, hosting sports, entertainment, and community events, contributing to the region's infrastructure and social landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on procurement strategies, contract selection, and procurement reporting, applying value management techniques.
  • Lead estimating and cost planning activities, including presenting final cost plans to stakeholders.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, encompassing prequalification, tendering, evaluation, contractor selection, and contract preparation.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support project delivery.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, licences, valuations, cost checking, and financial reporting.
  • Direct cost control activities, managing design changes, contract awards, construction costs, client charges, claims, and final account negotiations.
  • Ensure contractual compliance through the administration of practical completion, defects liability, final completion certificates, and associated approvals.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams through performance management, coaching, continuous improvement initiatives, and support for net zero carbon objectives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading project cost teams.
  • This role is open to Saudi Nationals.
