About Westin and the Role

Westin is seeking a full-time Laundry Attendant to join our team in Riyadh. This entry-level position is responsible for the efficient operation of laundry machinery and the meticulous handling of all laundered items, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and care within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding necessary chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate action for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect the cleanliness of articles removed from machines and place them into clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures according to fabric types contained in each load.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles to designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items.

Workplace Standards and Safety

• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Develop and foster positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals and responding to concerns appropriately.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying and recommending improvements for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify any defects.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications

• No specific high school diploma or *** equivalent required.
• No prior related work experience is necessary (0-1 years experience preferred).
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is needed for this role.
