About the Role
Dallah Healthcare is seeking an experienced Audiometry Specialist to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is for a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience, dedicated to providing high-quality audiological services within a hospital setting.
Role Overview
The Audiometry Specialist will be responsible for managing patients within the limits of written clinical privileges, ensuring the highest attainable standard of care using Dallah Hospital's resources. This role encompasses a range of diagnostic, rehabilitative, and supportive services for patients across all age groups.
Key Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical diagnostic services, including standard hearing evaluations, electrophysiologic testing, otoacoustic emission testing, and electronystagmography.
- Administer auditory tests for babies, children, and adults.
- Diagnose hearing disabilities and select/administer appropriate tests for evaluation.
- Offer auditory rehabilitation services, including evaluations and dispensing of hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
- Initiate appropriate follow-up and referrals to other healthcare and/or educational professionals.
- Take earmold impressions by completing visual screening of the ear canal, inserting impression materials, checking for accuracy, and processing according to established guidelines.
- Interpret and report on test results.
Operational and Administrative Duties
- Provide administrative support and assistance in equipment maintenance and supply management.
- Monitor and maintain departmental data and records as appropriate.
- Complete and interpret measurements of ambient noise in test environments.
- Complete output verification of equipment using a sound level meter, referring problems to the Head of Department.
- Perform any other duties within the range of professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Head of Department.
Professional Standards and Collaboration
- Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families better understand and participate in their care and make well-informed care decisions.
- Provide in-services and serve as a liaison to other healthcare providers and related professionals.
- Refer patients to their audiologist when appropriate.
Required Experience
Candidates for this Audiometry Specialist position must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in audiometry or a closely related clinical field. A proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and strict adherence to clinical protocols is essential.
