About Calo and the Barista Role

Calo, launched in Bahrain in November 2019, is dedicated to making healthy living accessible by leveraging technology to provide better, faster, and more affordable food options. We are seeking a Barista to join the Calo Cafe team in Riyadh, KSA. This is a full-time position, suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in the field.

Role Overview

The Barista will work closely with the Cafe Manager, playing a crucial role in supporting daily cafe operations in accordance with company standards. This position is central to maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction through expert beverage preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages strictly adhering to established coffee recipes.
• Ensure the functionality of brewing equipment and promptly report any potential issues.
• Demonstrate attentiveness to customers' orders and preferences.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with customers, reflecting Calo’s culture and values.
• Contribute to the cafe's timely operation, meeting all quality standards.
• Address and resolve issues resourcefully, taking control of problematic situations as they arise.
• Comply with and enforce all sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Foster a positive and professional working relationship with coworkers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be currently present in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• Extensive hands-on experience operating professional coffee machines.
• Ability to differentiate various coffee aromas and tastes.
• Experience level: 0-1 years in a relevant role.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Good understanding of useful computer programs and the aptitude to learn new software.
• Possesses a pleasant personality and the ability to lead with empathy.
